They should charge passengers by the pounds. Why would a 100 lbs person pay the same as a 300 lbs person? Heavy people use more fuel. Establish a fare for a maximum weight of 100 lbs, say $500 or whatever fare that is; for a R/T - SFO/JFK for the first 100 lbs. Charge an additional $1-2 per pound. It's only fair. Install a scale at the gate, the minute the boarding pass is handed over at the gate and the passenger steps in, it should automatically charge to that passenger's credit card or debit card for the excess pounds. Passengers also can pay in advance when they purchase the tickets. Just tell the ticket issuers how much they weight. The scale should also be able to recognize a 5-10% variances. That will be the day!!!!
